Featured Blogger: Ciara Magallanes

Nuffnang’s featured blogger of the month of August is Ciara Magallanes of mommydiaries.co!

1. Who are you and what is your blog about?

I am Ciara Magallanes, I actually am loving to be called Mommy Diaries, now. In fact, some of my clients call me Mommy Diaries. I am happily married and an OC mom. I am like the COO (not Child Of Owner,  ha hehe) of our Garments Company. That is basically my job. I have been working since I graduated from DLS-CSB at 19. I was really not happy with the jobs that I’ve landed on until I’ve found the love for blogging and it’s now what I call my career.

My blog is mainly about motherhood and lifestyle.

2. What can we expect from your blog?

I consider my blog as an extension of my home. I blog about my experiences, thoughts, breastfeeding, motherhood, marriage, parenting humor and finds such as places to visit, staycations, travel, food and anything I find helpful and worth sharing.

3. When and how did you start blogging?
www.mommydiaries.co was born on March 2 of this year. So, yeah, 5 months. I decided to start a blog just because I wanted to document my experiences as a mother. I love motherhood so much that Facebook and Instagram couldn’t contain all my thoughts and I needed to have another platform to voice them out.

4. What separates your blog from other blogs?
I am not the blogger who knows how to shoot well with the DSLR. In fact, it’s my husband, who’s also a blogger now, who does the photography. We work in tandem. He shoots, I do the write up.

So, it’s the way I write that sets me apart. I put myself in my write ups. I write just the way I would say them in person. That’s why my personality can be clearly deciphered with my blog posts (the reason why I put a lot of hehe’s and haha’s because I am a fun spirited woman who just love to laugh a lot)

Plus, I speak from a mother’s voice. I put a mom’s feelings into words well that my readers can relate so much from them. It’s as if, they’re reading their own thoughts on my write-ups. I don’t sugar coat, too, just pure honesty. Even when it comes to products that I share with my audience. I only accept offers from clients with products that I truly believe in and the ones that suit my lifestyle.

I started out from scratch, I am not famous nor do I have an experience in blogging. I have only been blogging for five months but I must say, I have reached a good number of stats already. In fact, my top post has received north of 1.3k shares followed by 1k.

5. What is the best thing about being a blogger?

I was once this nerd-honor-grad-girl. I love reading, studying and gaining new knowledge. And with blogging, it’s like I am studying once again. I do researches, I read a lot about certain topics before I post them and I even gather opinions from others.

I have also been meeting a lot of people and making new friends. But the best thing, is getting messages of appreciation from my readers. They get through me on my social media accounts and say how my posts inspired them, some even cried while reading my posts. It just makes my heart melt receiving such kind words and knowing that I’ve touched people’s lives.

I’ll keep on doing this as long as I can (even I’m 90 haha) and come the time that my daughter’s a grown up, I’d proudly show her Mommy’s Diaires.
