Who are you and what is your blog about?

I’m Lilian, a work-at-home mom to 3 wonderful, high-spirited kids. If I’m not busy with motherhood duties, managing the household, and this other thing you call work,  I’m scanning IG, in the gym or having those glorious 3-hour lunches with my fellow Titas.

At TheGoMom I share my motherhood misadventures, homemaking tips and family travels. I also share more than a thousand worksheets I personally made for my kids ranging from Filipino, Math, Science to Social Studies.

What can we expect from your blog?

At TheGoMom you will take away something in every post whether it be a tip on how to budget meals for kasambahays, a recent recipe I discovered, a fun place to bring the whole family to or a self-help tip I found useful, like Finding Balance. Each post is meant to be informative, useful and real.  It shares that parenting, charming as it is has its own heartaches and chaos.

When and how did you start blogging?

I started my blog when my eldest son first entered grade school.  All sorts of emotions and experiences were sweeping by me in this new world of tutoring, disciplining, homemaking and I thought it would be nice to share it with fellow Filipino moms, somebody to high-five with and say “OMG!  me too!” and so I started the blog.

What separates your blog from other blogs?

1,000 plus downloadable Filipino K-12 grade school worksheets I personally made for my kids is the biggest difference from other blogs.  Other than that I would like to think my posts are relatable, a bit hilarious, simple, practical and very informative.  When I do a family travel post for instance,  I would try to cover every question a mom would have, from kids activities to the thread count of the bed.

What is the best thing about being a blogger?

The best thing about being a blogger cliché as it may sound, is in the joy of sharing my thoughts and experiences with my fellow moms.  Right now at TheGoMom’s IG, I do relatable, Pinoy parenting slice of life posts that draws side comments that gets me cracking up!  Blogging is actually one big “high-five, me too” community, and I love it!  High-five!
