Marco and Chee Roño here! We are a DINKY (dual-income no kids yet) couple who simply loves to travel the Philippines and the world. We’ve decided to share our travel adventures through blogging because we see it as the best way we can tell our future kids how our life was before them. We have been to 20 countries apart from the Philippines and it has been a-ma-zing so far. We thought it would be nice to dedicate an entire website for the sole purpose of documenting our travel experiences.

Our blog is relatively new and we’re just getting the hang of the writing style and contents. It started right after I (Chee) came back from the Philippines from a 10-month stay in Uganda and all our friends were asking if I (Chee) was able to blog about my experience in Africa. I had no blog back then, I was simply uploading travel photos on Facebook. And then, we got a big help from a blogger friend and a common acquaintance for some web-hosting packages and voila! www.roamingronos.com was born in March 2009.
When we started writing about our travel experiences in our blog, Travel Footprints, we really did not think about the audience. But now that it’s up and running for a year, we’ve been getting requests from friends and acquaintances about travel budgets and recommendations for hotels or restaurants.
What makes Travel Footprints one-of-a-kind? Our blog reflects our travel preferences. Being DINKY couple, we’re willing to spend a bit on our travels but as adventure travellers, we are also willing to rough it also. We’re the type of travellers who would climb to Mt. Pulag and stay overnight in a tent but would still spend time for pampering in The Manor after the climb. We could scrimp on travel budget or spend for an ultimate holiday if we want to. At one point we can be looking for the cheapest way to spend a weekend in Camsur and there are days where you find us trekking the Himalayas.
As a couple, we’ve already made blogging as our bonding experience and it helps us keep track of the travel footprints we’ve left all over the world as a couple!
