If you are not selected, don't be disappointed. There are after all 12 months in a year.

I’m a mom, a techie, a prime time woman having the time of her life. My blog is called Touched by an Angel, inspired by my precious angel, Luijoe when he guided me towards the light at the end of the tunnel of despair (over his death). My blog is about my “new normal” which I struggled to achieve after the sudden death of my 6 year old son, Luijoe on May 27, 2000. Still a work in progress, I am now in my renewal stage where my grief has moved on towards a positive resolution.

Topics that you may expect from Touched by an Angel are Advocacy work, Parenting, health, & family life recovery, marriage, social commentary and my thoughts and opinions about eventful or uneventful days.

I started this blog on February 24, 2006 with the initial focus on grief support in the Philippines but my blog has since evolved to cover a larger goal- to advocate social change. Hence, my blog is not only about grief education or my grief recovery. Since I own a dedicated server, I thought I would utilize the space to start a blog.

I believe each blog is unique. Aside from personal stories, my blog has its own niche which is a platform for advocacy. My blog’s focus is on assisting and participating in advocacy groups that may reap the benefits of blogging. My efforts will not be in vain because these groups will be able to complement their grassroots efforts in advocating social change.
I also offer hope. Many wonderful things have been happening to me. Sharing the changes in my new normal after the death of a child is one way of reaching out to others. I offer hope that life can still continue on despite the pain and that pain is a wonderful teacher.

The great things about being a blogger are meeting people, learning of new products and going places. There is something new to look forward to each time. It keeps me young at heart too. It opened doors to being a citizen journalist and be of service to the country. I got hired by Vibal Foundation to work for them as a features editor for the Philippine Online Chronicles.
