What is the Nike+ Human Race?

The Nike+ Human Race is a multi-city event that gives runners worldwide the opportunity to run together, and in its banner year in 2008, nearly 780,000 participants joined in the global event. What better way to bring runners from all over the world together than a singular race that happens in one day, where you can join regardless of where you are?

How can Pinoys join the Nike+ Human Race?

There are two ways to join:

1. Join the Nike+ Human Race 10K at Subic. While Manila is not listed as a host city for the event, Nike still brings you the Nike+ Human Race at Subic; the Human Race is to be integrated with the 2nd Subic International Marathon as a side event.

To join, register using the Subic International Marathon Entry Form and indicate that you’ll be joining the Nike+ Human Race for a 10K event. Indicate Nike Human Race anywhere in the form.

Starting and finish point will be at Remy Field in SBMA. Assembly time @ 3:00PM, fire-off @ 4:30 PM.

2. Join the Nike+ Human Race 10k (Virtual Race). The Nike+ Human Race 10K is open to anyone who wants to be part of the day the world runs on 24th Oct 2009 and is free to run wherever they want, at their own time and pace. Unlike the Nike+ Human Race 10K in Singapore (the closest host city) which is a physical race that requires a registration fee to participate, it is ONLY open to runners who have registered and paid for it.

Visit the Nike+ website to become a Nike+ member and register for the race (link to HR challenge). Then, on October 24, run your 10K with the Nike+ iPod and Nike+ Sportband, sync your miles to make your run count and contribute to the global mileage.

The Nike+ website also helps you prepare for the race event with the Nike+ Coach. You can choose from several race distance that you intend to run. For the Human Race, choose the 10k distance.

Last August 7, 2009, Goldilocks had an event at Fully Booked, Bonifacio High Street to award the winners of the You’re the 1, Goldilocks blog contest and to thank all the contest participants for joining the contest and for showing why Goldilocks is the one for them. It was a grand event filled with activities, food (of course!), and an awarding ceremony where Goldilocks gave away several laptops and gift certificates to the winners of the blog contest.

The event was filled with bloggers, friends, and members of the press.

A fun Decorate Your Cake activity kicked things off as bloggers started pouring in and the festivities started getting underway.

Photo sessions were a must! A lot of bloggers took photos at the photo booths.

Again, Goldilocks showed everyone why they’re the one!

The event was hosted by Juddha Paolo and was graced by the appearance of the hunky Goldilocks endorser, Dingdong Dantes. Truly a special night (especially for the ladies)!

Of course, it would be a Goldilocks event without the food!
