Hey Nuffnangers!
Well, it’s been a great month for Nuffnang Philippines! We just arrived from Singapore for Nuffnang’s Asia-Pacific Blog Awards, wherein we awarded the best bloggers from all over the region! Our very own best bloggers represented and were flown to Singapore just for the awards. In line with this, Pringles and Singapore Tourism Board also held a contest, and to round out the Philippine contingent, almost 30 people represented the Philippines. There were 400+ bloggers from all over the region all coming together for one night of fun and festivities.
Two Pinoy Bloggers took home crystal trophies from the grand gala night:
Arnold Aranez of http://www.mrgadget.com.au took home the award for Best Geek Blog.
Ferdz Decena of http://www.ironwulf.net bagged the Best Travel Blog award.
The star of the night was Wendy, more popularly known as Xiaxue. She bagged 3 awards and on the third one another celebrity blogger pulled a “Kanye West” on her saying that Stephen Lim had the best blog design of all time! This naturally elicited lots of laughter, adding to the fun nature the night had!
The Philippines also sent famous cosplayers Alodia and Ashley to the blog awards. Here they are posing with Mark, a Filipino graphic designer working in Singapore for Ripplewerkz.
It was a fun night for our Filipino bloggers. There were smiles everywhere. It was good to expose everyone to the kind of blogging community they have in Singapore as well as in Malaysia. Some bloggers they might only know as faces, or by their blog name, but by nights end they knew them as co-bloggers as well as friends.
