Do you remember those stories your mother used to tell you as a child? The one of the little girl in a red riding hood who visits her grandmother only to meet the wolf, or the one with the cinder girl who ends up marrying her prince…yes, I am talking about the stories written by the Brothers Grimm. Bed time stories of fantasy and make believe.

Premiering this Friday the 13^th at 9 PM, Jack TV and CHASE is giving our favorite tales a new life.

GRIMM follows homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) who, after his aunt falls ill, starts seeing things he cannot explain. Receiving a key that unlocks his family’s secrets, Nick finds out he is a descendant of the Grimm’s and he has inherited their ability to see between the mythological world and the human world, and it is his responsibility to keep the balance between them. With his new found outlook in life, he is able to identify the mythological beings as they shift, showing him their true form.

Keeping his secret to himself, it is not too long until Nick realizes that this new responsibility endangers his girlfriend Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch), as the realm of fantasy attempts to cross over.

Unwittingly offering a helping hand is his partner Hank Griffin played by Russel Hornsby, who may not know about his abilities but is determined to solve cases. Another unlikely ally is Monroe, played by Silas Weir Mitchell. He is a reformed Blutbad (wolf) who teaches and guides Nick as he learns his way through the dangerous mythological world he has yet to fully encounter.

Follow the adventures of Nick as he shows us a different side to classics, like Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, The Three Little Pigs, Hansel and Gretel, and a lot more.
